About the Hill preschool

Founded in 1972, The Hill Preschool is committed to providing high quality care and education. We focus on the whole child and support the development of social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical skills.

We believe that young children learn best through play. Our school’s approach to care and education is closely aligned with current educational theory that supports the importance of children engaging in hands-on learning. Young children gain knowledge of the world and develop competence across learning domains when given the opportunity to actively explore.

The Hill Preschool follows the Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is a research-based curriculum that carefully considers the latest theory on child development and how children learn.

Our learning environments include our classrooms, playground, and the larger community. Community resources, including local parks and museums, are an integral part of our curriculum.
